Keynote speakers
He is the Chairman of Water Environment Forum, which is a network/platform of water sector organizations (government, NGOs, think tanks, universities, research institutions) and professionals/experts to come together and create synergies for an integrated approach to address Pakistan’s water challenges and gaps.
He has previously remained a member of the Senate of Pakistan. Nisar holds a Master of Science degree from Karachi University. Before joining the Senate of Pakistan, he was the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas, the Country General Manager for IBM Corporation, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Engro Group of Pakistan. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for Pakistan State Oil, American Life Insurance Company, and Capital Asset Leasing Company.
She is a senior scientific officer in the climatology section of the Global Climate-Change Impact Studies Centre. Ms. Rehman is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Punjab and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Disaster Risk Management Fund. She holds a Masters of Public Administration, Sustainable Development from Harvard University, and a Masters in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Systems from Duke University.

He is a businessman in the agriculture sector since more than 20 years. Having an MBA from Asian Institute of Technology, Hasan worked in the corporate sector and later established his own business. Since 2007, he has been the Chief Executive of Dairy Solution Pvt Ltd, a company that sells dairy farm equipment, cow/buffalo milking machines, milk cooling systems, hoof care products, dairy cattle nutrition products, etc. Currently, he is also serving as the Chairman, Dairy Input Association; Secretary General, Pakistan Meat Exporter & Processors Association; Chairman of Committee on Livestock in Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry; and Chairman of Committee on Dairy, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. His name has been published in the recent edition of book: Best Performing CEO's of Pakistan.
He is an Infectious Diseases physician with training in Research Methods and have worked extensively with governments, NGOs and international development organizations in several countries in the fields of public health policy, program design and evaluation and research. Some of his contribution includes, National Health Policy 2010 of Pakistan (participated in development); National Strategy for Health Research (focal person/ lead consultant); Ministry of Health Strategy for Contraceptive Promotion (focal person/ lead consultant); Measurement of the Effectiveness of the National HIV Response in Pakistan (lead consultant); and Design of the National HIV response 2009-13 (lead consultant).
He has been engaged with the agriculture sector (various value chains) for the past 15 years. He has launched two companies, Vital Agri Nutrients ltd, which is a specialty Agri inputs manufacturing company, and Vital Green ltd, which is an Agri services company. He is also engaged with UNDP through MAGP (Merged areas governance project) as a specialist SME and with IFC on CPSD- Agro-processing deep dive.
He is a four-time chairman of the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (PSMA). In the past, he has also held chairmanship for the provincial chapter of PSMA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa several times. He is also the Director of the Premier Group of Companies, which is the largest sugar mill group in KP and the third largest in the country by capacity. Premier Sugar Mills was also the first mill set up in West Pakistan after independence.
She engages in regulatory activities related to environmental pollution control. She also provides technical input on matters related to national biosafety and international environmental agreements and is responsible for environmental grievance redressal. Prior to working for the federal EPA, she worked as Research Associate at Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), where she carried out policy research on climate change with a focus on gender, adaptation, migration, and climate-resilience.
He joined NDMA in 2023 and is heading the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) which is a premier institute of training and capacity development programs for managing natural disasters occurring in Pakistan. Earlier he had worked in Pakistan Air Forces in different staff and command posts for last 32 years. He holds three Master's degrees.
